Can a route's case be larger than 3 full cases?

Hello,, so , I have a 41j route, 621 boxes. Super low volume factor. I have a lot of boxes that hardly get any mail. I have a nearly full 3 case sections as it is. Interested in trying to pull off the Aux route and get it to a K. Can a route's case be larger than 3 full walls (meaning 6 rows at 40 boxes per row per section)? Or would USPS deny that? Also, any idea how many minutes each additional box would add to the routes Standard Hours? Thank you!

Box additions will change your route's Standard Hours based on a multitude of factors. Though, in my experience, you can expect about an hour for every 20-25 boxes.

As for the number of cases? Sure, you can have more than 3. I got left with 4 after my route got cut. I had 5 before that.

Minutes for each box depends on Volume Factor & Coverage Factor of the donating route. I’ve seen routes add 200 deliveries and only move up 2 hours.

There is a route in our office that has 880 boxes her case has 3 sections and a wing and the carrier has asked for years to get more equipment but management refuses says she has to use some half cells instead. No room for pink cards or any supplies numbers bunched together and rt is still growing. What suggestions for her to do to fix this problem ?

She should file a grievance requesting supplies necessary to do her job properly. There is documentation in our contract that says the Usps management will supply carriers with all equipment necessary to do their job. In the Po603, which is supposed to be at every rural carriers case, it states how carriers are to have 3 pieces of sorting equipment to work a route with 700 customers, if more than 720, more casing equipment is required. Rural Carriers are never to have less than one slot, or one inch per customer.

Ty, I've told her there had to be something she could do. I'm telling her first thing, she really needs some relief.

They have a half wing that has 120 slots in 6 rows.

I have seen a case with a half and full on left and right with a full in the middle.

I have 3 fulls and a half-wing, almost 900 total boxes, and I’m STILL a 42H, which is kinda crazy(biggest case in the building). One thing I’ve learned with RRECS is routes with a bunch of CBU’s and Apt. complexes get totally screwed.

How can that be? I have three fulls and a wing, but 520 boxes. About 15 of my boxes are businesses, which I give anywhere from 1 to 7 cells, depending how much mail they get. I am 99% full.

Before cut I had 4 after cut down to 3, have some room for growth so yes you can have 4. Change all cells to minimum 1 inch, 2 inch for heavy mail addresses. Forces them to get you another case, might require grievance. If you go beyond 3 cases.

I don’t know why 621 deliveries will need more than 3 full section . 6 shelve in one section will accommodate 240 address . So 3 section will cover about 720 . Actually more like 700 as someone mentioned before. And that should satisfy your whole 621 deliveries. To get the label accordingly you have to indicate one inch cell for every address in the red book . As you have said you have super low volume factor, why would you need more than one inch cell ? This way your whole route will be easier to case , however portion you actually case . Think about it . I have 748 active delivery , however about 150 of them are of super low volume addresses. I have consolidated those with half inch cell label . And I am managing super fine

Rookie numbers. lol.
I have 5 full pieces of equipment. about 1200 customers.
I deliver to 4 Apartments. I want to jackpot the thing, but they are forcing me to have that extra equipment.

Same with my casing neighbor, he has the same as me.
