Where to go from here

Lol
Wait till after contract negotiations or they’ll dangle that carrot as a means of discipline against us?
If they take the normal amount of time to wrap up the next contract, I'll likely be retired before it ever gets signed.... js.... TOO LATE for me..... ? ✋??

I can assume all of you like myself was never asked for our opinion or vote by the leadership of the NRLCA on taking action against Rural Info.

After all they are working for those of us that are paying members and should be acting on issues in favor of the majorities desires. Same old schitt, talk to us let us have input in our association, we are the association and you work for us. Develop a web site as informative as this one and we wouldn't have to stray to find out basic information that should be readily available.

I think the situation should be watched and questions asked to be very clear about what is being demanded. A knee jerk reaction, I think would be a mistake.

In my state attorneys usually send a proof of service. When you deal with office services that already supply this service it is usually easier even when it is not the required choice.

What I think they REALLY don't like is.... this gives MEMBERS a voice.... if we get wronged by the USPS or NRLCA.... we can come here and air our opinions.... they hate that.... and why???? Don't we have the right to voice our opinions?????‍♂️?

How's that working for ya.... sharing a vehicle with your sub??? That'd be a totally new concept for me, if I end up having to do it before I hit the exit.... ?‍♂️?
No problem there, sub uses a smaller car when G isn't assigned to a route. The happy camper likes when I take off, any day. Sunday subs leave lucky and chewy wrappers sometimes, but no biggie since I haven't gassed up since getting it in October.

So at 6 months, you're an old hand at the Metris ride now.... sounds like your dread factor is pretty low.... I also ain't skeered, or a scared, or a feared.... I haven't even shaved my beard.... somebody needs to tell M.O.N..... it's just a little van.... and, a brand damned new Mercedes-Benz van at that.... js.... ??‍♂️:)

I still don't get why they don't just come here and say what they gotta say.... what a perfect time with all the meetings being shut down for the past year.... wth.... what a pi$$ poor time to FURTHER shut down communications.... js.... ridiculous.... ?‍♂️?

I wonder where the money went from all the meetings being shut down. If it is available for future use, would they be bragging about the financial reserve if we have it?"

If the union proceeds with this foolishness, and successfully shuts down or substantially alters the way this site operates going forward,
If you choose to file a complaint with The Office Of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) regarding this potential fiduciary lapse, IF, funds are being spent to restrict the rights of members to view, share and discuss Contracts, Pay Scales MOU's as well as other items affecting the Rural Carrier Craft.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO INCLUDE IN YOUR COMPLAINT

1. Did the Union treat all sites that share information about the Rural Craft exactly the same, serving them the same notice, within the same time period.?
Or was it just this site offering potential evidence of a potential vendetta?

2. VERY IMPORTANT

Did Leaders of the union use electronic devices, it's offices, office equipment, or employees, paid for by union dues to create accounts with Rural Mail Talk to anonymously track members of this site, members of the craft the union is sworn to defend and represent?
And, if so, did the Union use dues money, paid by members, to try to discover the identities of Rural Carriers posting on Rural Mail Talk?
And if so did they share information the acquired by tracking members of Rural Mail Talk with the USPS without notifying those being tracked?

It appears the union has been monitoring this site for a period of time based on their objection to material shared here. The extent to which the union monitored this site, with it's time and resources are pertinent information

The state of Massachusetts branch just released their financials. Unless I misread the info there is a couple hundred thousand xtra dollars floating around. It was in their "back roads journal" publication. Anyone from mass out their have their copy handy? I chucked mine. So there is xtra cash in Massachusetts at least

I say we march on Duke Street with pikes and flaming torches... Take over the building and institute a new union... Of Course we make D.B. temporary dictator.. He gathers a contract negotiating crew of grievance writers and pains in usps's butt type people... We hire the meanest junkyard dog attorneys to help us...And first item is back pay for everyone from the date the new accounting systems were to be in place...The second Item is full benefits to all RCA's after 1 year.. 3rd. Buy back of retirement time like milirary for RCA time... ok that's a start...

Couldn't decide whether to "like", be offended, triggered, or PTSD'd....

I have often felt that even if some Tony Soprano types were running the show, we'd probably get treated better, be less stressed, and more things would get done.

Fun idea, I wounder what we would come up with if we did our home work.

Does Duke St. have the right to keep us off the premises as private property if as union members we own it?

Does duke St. have the authority to cancel the National Conference? Or, is it more a matter of if nothing is done what are we going to do about it? I think the real argument would be that they are not able to do this during the pandemic. We do know this is not true with on line meetings.

Multiply that times 50.......plenty of xtra cash.....how about a dues rebate? I like that idea. I'm tired of paying and paying and getting little to nothing in return. What's going to happen with the xtra cash? Bonuses? I hope not. PAC contributions? I hope not, Congress does squat for us. How about dues rebate since the funds haven't been used? Slap, slap! Skier, wake up! You are dreaming. The illustrious NRLCA will find a way to blow the dough.
