Do not think arbitration would have taken a couple of years, we would have been two months from it expiring. But the sheeple have spoken and we have this fantastic contract.Again, if we had went to arbitration, it'd likely have been a couple of YEARS from now, all with no raises nor COLAs... js... beats the alternative...
The last time we went to arbitration, when the contract expired in 2010.... that arbitration didn't wrap up and give us a new contract until like July of 2012... js.. OVER 2 years.. oh, and it was a real stinker of an "award" as well.... basically a bloodbath.... I'm thanking gawd peeps were wise enuf to not vote for that pain and suffering again... I'm glad I'm now saying SHOW ME THE MONEY $$$$ !!!!! instead of sitting around with NO raises, nor COLAs, nor RCA leave earning, etc. , etc.... and waiting for what???? The NRLCA to make some pitiful plea to an arbitrator... good grief.. be real, and thank gawd that's not where we're at now....

Welp.. our pay is supposed to be updated in PP16... AND, we're now in PP15... so, js... we got our EMA bump up effective TODAY... then next pay period, we'll be getting paid our new $80k+ salaries.... and, then maybe soon we'll be seeing our THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN BACKPAY AND COLAS...

20k+ less then I grossed last year without including EMA. Only 2 carriers made more then me as an rca last year in office. Both table 1 top step, all our current regs are table 1 besides one. just More of a reason we should be hourly and not evaluated imo.
