SHOWING is not he same as HAVING. Be careful what you ask for.Now I've sorta tied getting the $$$ money to crossing the goal line... I wish they'd get their $#!+ together, and SHOW US THE MONEY $$$$ !!!!!!!!![]()

AGREED !!! There is a saying that people use and I am CONSTANTLY correcting them when they use it. The saying is " you're having your cake and eating it too. " I know that is the time honored and traditional way that phrase goes. However, that is not and never was accurate. Okay, here is where I make the correction. ANYBODY can have a cake and eat it. It is eating it and STILL having it that is the hard part or the kicker. So, I remind the person that the saying REALLY goes like this , " you are eating your cake and having it too." In this instance, the PO gets to hang on to that money and the interest it collects while the other contractual provisions are instant and some of that money , which is rumored to be somewhere in the neighborhood of thousands of dollars in back pay and COLAs, is money that is already PAST DUE us.SHOWING is not he same as HAVING. Be careful what you ask for.
Especially with these lying cheating bastids ..... they'll shell game us outa all of it...SHOWING is not he same as HAVING. Be careful what you ask for.
Of course that RRECS isn’t complicated at all, right? How many years is it going to take to figure out our pay when its based on all that gibberish?Union site says because of the complexity of the rural pay system it's going to take another month or two. Seriously? But rrecs is moving forward!
Because otherwise you'd probably take it to a casino and end up owing Big Mic a favor. And that could be awkward"Another month or two"
Are you freaking kidding me. Why do I even give the union money.
Mo money this time around......
Why is it more complex this time?!!
...
So, just a few if the things which go into figuring each of the 160000 rural employees covered under this back pay.The complexities?
THE COMPLEXITIES!?!!!
It’s the same thing as every other raise we’ve ever received! Every year we get a 1 or 1.5% raise.
Twice a year we get a cola!
Why is it more complex this time?!!
The union needs to stop making excuses for the post office.
The union does not work for the post office, THEY WORK FOR US!
The backpay is understandable. So, just a few if the things which go into figuring each of the 160000 rural employees covered under this back pay.
1) every pay period is handled separately per employee.
2) pay steps or changes must be factored.
3) all OT must be calculated and confirmed by an individual per pay period.
4) many mou's were in play during this time frame for regulars to assist.
5) all 8127 payments must be readjusted.
6) all route evaluation changes or new route bids must be corrected for pay.
7) all grievance settlements for mandated work must be recalculated if not a flat fee payment.
8) all retired carriers from this time frame need adjustment.
9) all tsp contributions and match must be adjusted .
10) taxes must be adjusted.
11) the easiest process is paying 1234 time for rcas.
And a few more items per employee affected during this time frame. Including fired, resigned and retired personnel.
I’m not talking about backpay I’m talking about current salary change. It’s literally just switching a chart in an excel spreadsheet. An eighth grader could do it.So, just a few if the things which go into figuring each of the 160000 rural employees covered under this back pay.

I think the current staffing shortages at Eagan play a role in this, too, but, yeah, it’s a distinct advantage to the USPS to put off implementing these increases for as long as possible. The backpay is understandable.
The delay in making our pay current is inexcusable. To my knowledge it has never happened. Pay charts are posted. Can't input?
I think the Association should have placed a date for the people who work to get paid or receive interest on monies owed before they paid themselves. You don’t see this as self serving their own interests first?Who had April 26th in the betting pool as the first time we heard "as soon as administratively possible" this contract??? I personally figured it would be mid may before we even got that lame answer
I hear you.I think the current staffing shortages at Eagan play a role in this, too, but, yeah, it’s a distinct advantage to the USPS to put off implementing these increases for as long as possible.
And this is one of the most frustrating things with our union leadership. Failure to correct previously observed shortcomings. In this case, the NRLCA filed a national grievance for the delay in paying our back pay under the previous contract (and as far as I know, this grievance has not been settled). This should have made including the paying of interest for back pay a no-brainer.I think the Association should have placed a date for the people who work to get paid or receive interest on monies owed before they paid themselves. You don’t see this as self serving their own interests first?
Another repeat of “As soon as administratively possible”
