Union Decertification in progress. If we all do our part we will succeed!

$33.90 per pay period per regular carrier. Not sure what rcas now pay, (I’d guess half that?)
plus, the nrlca seems to up our dues every time we get contractual raises (and colas??)
Times (what was it new nrlca news rag said) 110,000 carriers?
That’s ALOT of cash they haul in per pay period, for what little representation they give us!
The dues list is one of the few things not behind the pay wall

The dues list is one of the few things not behind the pay wall
In my opionion, nothing that represents the CRAFT should be behind the pay wall. rrecks don’t only affect dues paying members. Convention decisions don’t only affect dues paying members. (Convention dollars spent, eehh, maybe)….
contract decisions, dont affect only dues paying members…. I could go on and on, I’m sure…. If it affects the craft, there’s no reason to hide it behind a wall. If they don’t want the public to see it, fine, our eid tells them who we are, make the nrlca site eid specific. Our eid also tells “them” wether we’re dues paying members or not. Our eid identifies us all.
Some things (maybe) should be hidden to non paying members! But if it affects the craft, there’s no reason for a “pay wall”

Please vote in the 30% to iniate the decertification process! Then vote no to actually decertify! Light the fire under the nrlca! tell them we’re tired! Represent us, or we’ll get someone who will

I just PIZZED myself off even more…..
going off the numbers I just said, not looking into the news rag for “actual” carrier numbers, just used MY numbers….
WE, DUES PAYING REGULAR CARRIERS, no rcas dues added…..
we regulars, pay the nrlca $3,729,000 per pay period!
that $96,954,000 per year! Almost 97 MILLION DOLLARS a year! From regulars alone! No rca money, no ptf money! 97 MILLION DOLLARS a year!
97 million a year, FOR WHAT? We don’t SEE 97 million dollars a year worth of representation! Yet people still “doubt” decertification! If 97 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR, for this LITTLE representation don’t help you decide to decertify, then we’re ALL DOOMED!
(Again, I’m NOT for decertification, I’m only for the initial 30% to initiate the decertification process. Let’s show the nrlca we mean business, and we’re paying you $97 MILLION per year to work FOR US! NOT YOURSELVES! US! WE PAY YOUR OVERPRICED SALARIES! Do your jobs, or step aside)

edit: looked in the news rag, nrlca TOTAL membership is 110,419. I didn’t notice how many of that is rcas/ptfs……. So I’ll assume my 97 MILLION per year is a couple MILLION per year high….. let’s, for chits and giggles, call it 75 million per year! Still no chump change, no matter how you look at it!
75 MILLION per year for the nrlca! And we’re getting what?
The regulars are the big money fir income. Rcas are about $10 a pp. More regulars are dealing membership.

Signatures are picking up. Media coverage has been helping (Nrlca finally addressed what we’re all trying to do and they posted it to their website). Maston has commented multiple times now, let’s keep the momentum going! What we need next is national coverage and it’s over
How many more signatures have you gotten in the past two weeks?

Rcas are 5 columns from the right. An associate member is a spouse or person in another craft.
Thanks, i couldn't figure out what the titles meant. I mean, why would you use titles that didn't match any of our acronyms ??? It's like they're out of touch with everything we do

The point is: Everyone, from every generation starts low in economic platform. I bought a house years ago.. but, my expenses go up yearly. My renewal for homeowners is $8000 this year. I don't own a mansion.. My 10 year old car is $1800 a year in insurance with a perfect driving record. You should build financial gains as you maneuver through the wage system. But, all will depend upon local living expenses.

Other federal agencies receive locality pay for the locations they reside and fulfill work duties. Usps doesn't offer locality pay to anyone but inspectors and police officers. They won the pay through contract negotiation.

It doesn't matter if you are table 1 or 2 in an expensive area. Neither can afford it. Table 2 does impact Financial gains. I won't dispute that. Lower wages, lower matching, lower potential annuity.

I think the more fair system would be a locality based pay. Do away with both tables and have a set standard pay grade based upon years and zipcode. Like every other federal agency. But, we won't be able to do that either because someone from Alabama will be upset someone makes more than them. Regardless of what each carriers actual expenses are.

After trying to change the minds of people who vote for decades, I can only infer they don't want anyone to gain more than they did. The south and Midwest have always had economic advantages until lately when the great real estate migration started impacting cheaper areas. Ask the big voting block in the south if they want to make a basic average wage so others can pay bills.
We appear to be locked into a have and have not attitude across the country. It's sad and infuriating to realize how poor rurals are with change and participation.
In conclusion, vote. Vote new people. Don't be frightened if they haven't the experience of a current officer. That current officer didn't have job experience before they were voted in, either.
And stop voting for retirees who keep voting in the old guard. You won't let them directly vote on a contract but, as a national delegate they vote for officers, dues and negotiation standards.
Vote for working carriers with a brain.
What part of the country do you live in? I am upper Midwest. I have full coverage on my 11 year old vehicle for about $1100 a year. I live in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with an oversized double garage and an extra 7 ×20 storage area. I have no steps and it is a secured building. My rent is $1000 so I expect a little bump up at some time. The 4 plex is 15 years old.

This guy gets it.
I vote ‘no’ on every contract because I want arbitration every time. I want USPS to see we’re not happy about everything.
We have people on this board who don’t even vote or aren’t even a member (can’t vote), or they vote yes for more $$$, and all of these people come on this board and make nothing but complaints all day about their job… go figure…
I definitely would not try to force arbitration every time. Arbitration is what brought us to our current situation. RRECS was from arbitration.

Here's the thing. RRECS could be a good thing, but the USPS got ahold of it and just destroyed with the engineering standards. Now the city side is getting something similar. Wonder if they will get destroyed like us?

Let's put it this way again. I have no issue losing pay as long as they can show the proof of me being what I am (Honestly IMO my route is right about where it should be after losing 2 hours on RRECS). Get someone not as familiar as myself to work, they will struggle because my route covers such a large area. I know 90% of people on my route already and lived on the route my whole life.

Interesting….. I always thought we all paid the same amount in dues…..
why the different amounts state by state? I mean, we all make the same amount, step to step by tables, so why different union dues?
Very interesting indeed……
Some states pay state officers more than others. Some states have higher expense allowances for attending conferences and conventions than others. My guess would be some states have more extravagant conventions than others.

RRECS should have been a good thing but for whatever reason it isn't. I used to hear carriers at convention or read on here about 45k routes being completed before 2:00 pm. They probably took a major hit from RRECS. I had many miles of gravel roads here in the northern tier and I don't think RRECS gave much consideration to the mud, snow or large farm equipment traveling down the road in front of you. I even met a cattle drive at the same location on my route every year.

A stupidly expensive part of the west coast. Where gas has been over $6 a gallon for years. And insurance for anything in this state is crazy high...if you can get it. Lots of companies bailing out of this state for insurance.
